NEW YORK, NY, Apr 06 (MARKET WIRE) --
Knovel, a web-based application integrating technical information with
analytical and search tools, rolled out simplified navigation, improved
browsing, and a re-designed user interface for members of the American
Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). AIChE members now have the
ability to save and organize frequent searches, titles and content. These
features reflect the latest version of Knovel available. Engineers who
join AIChE receive access to a select collection of Knovel's content and
interactive tools through AIChE's e-library.

Members of AIChE, the world's leading organization for chemical engineers
with more than 40,000 members from 93 countries, use Knovel to quickly
find answers to technical questions, particularly related to process
design and material selection. Members can also take advantage of
Knovel's interactive tools to analyze data, including the properties of
specific compounds, and incorporate results directly into their work.
AIChE has offered earlier versions of Knovel, via its e-library, since
2006.

"Developing and expanding robust online offerings may be the key to the
future of membership organizations like ours," said June Wispelwey,
AIChE's executive director. "Working with Knovel is one important way
we're building a home and community for today's and tomorrow's chemical
engineers."

In a 2009 survey of its members, AIChE found that 92 percent of
respondents indicated the time it takes to complete their work would
increase by at least 10 percent without access to Knovel. Knovel offers
an unmatched depth and breadth of validated engineering content, selected
from the most trusted sources and delivered to engineers quickly and with
precision. More than 600 major corporations and academic institutions
turn to Knovel to search the Company's validated content.

"Knovel has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with AIChE, and we are
pleased Knovel is among the valuable benefits offered to its members,"
said Delores Meglio, vice president, publisher relations for Knovel. "We
surveyed AIChE members last year and learned that 52 percent of
respondents use Knovel at least once a week. Chemical engineers tell us
that Knovel increases their overall productivity. Productivity is of
critical importance to advancing design and innovation."

AIChE members can access Knovel via AIChE's e-library. For information
