SAN DIEGO--(Business Wire)-- Asteres Inc., the industry`s leading provider of automated pharmacy and wellness kiosks and maker of ScriptCenter®, announced today that it has named industry retail veteran Kevin Tripp to its Board of Directors. Tripp has over 30 years of leadership and strategic planning expertise in the pharmacy and grocery store industry. Most recently he held the position of Executive Vice President and President, Retail Midwest at SUPERVALU INC. Tripp joined SUPERVALU INC. through the 2006 acquisition of Albertsons, Inc., where he was Executive Vice President, Drug Operations and President, Drug Store Division, as well as a member of the corporation`s executive council that directed food and drug operations in 37 states. Throughout his career, he has held positions in grocery and drug store operations, pharmacy operations, managed care, pharmacy marketing and regional management. Tripp`s prior affiliations were with National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) as an executive board member, executive committee member and charitable foundation board member. He also served as a board member for the University of Southern Nevada, College of Pharmacy. Tripp is a registered pharmacist and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Wyoming. He also completed the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Negotiating Skills Program and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
