NEW Donates $48K in Response to Haiti`s Earthquake

STERLING, Va.--(Business Wire)--
N.E.W. Customer Service Companies Inc. (NEW), the leading provider of extended
service plans, buyer protection services and product support based in Sterling,
Va., has donated $48,000 to relief organizations to aid those affected by the
devastating earthquake in Haiti. 

"As a global company, NEW recognizes that there are people and communities in
need around the world and it is part of our corporate responsibility to provide
aid through volunteering and charitable giving when possible," said Fred
Schaufeld, NEW`s chairman and founder. "The devastation that has struck Haiti is
unimaginable, and our hearts go out to those who have been affected by this
tragedy." 

NEW encouraged its employees to make donations to the American Red Cross and
AmeriCares to support relief efforts in Haiti and pledged to match all employee
donations made Jan. 15-31. The employee donations totaled $24,000 and NEW
matched the amount, resulting in a total donation of $48,000. 

To date, the Red Cross has delivered essential relief supplies to more than
400,000 people and has distributed enough water for 260,000 people per day in
Haiti. AmeriCares has delivered more than $14 million in medical aid and
supplies and continues to provide ongoing medical assistance.
