SmartMusic subscriptions total 139,363
MINNEAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
MakeMusic, Inc. (NASDAQ: MMUS) today announced monthly subscription results for
SmartMusic®, the music learning software for band, orchestra and voice.
SmartMusic subscriptions as of March month-end numbered 139,363, representing a
net gain 2,210 from the previous month and a 26% increase over the prior year.

SmartMusic GradebookTM, the web-based student grading and records management
system included with SmartMusic, showed 2,340 teachers have issued assignments,
a 25% increase over March of last year. Gradebook teachers, those having issued
assignments to 50 or more students, totaled 1,156 at the end of March. This is a
39% increase compared to 829 Gradebook teachers at the end of March 2009.

Finally, the number of SmartMusic educator accounts was 9,368 compared to 9,419
at the end of February, a decrease of 51 accounts.
