Serena Software Names Mike deFisser as Vice President of North American Sales & Service

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Serena Software, Inc. today announced the appointment of Mike deFisser as Vice
President of North American Sales & Service. Mr. deFisser reports directly to
John Nugent, Serena`s President and CEO.

Mr. deFisser has an outstanding history of proven sales performance, most
recently as VMware`s Vice President of Sales for the Western US. Earlier he had
long and successful sales leadership stints with Veritas/Symantec and
Hewlett-Packard. He began his career as an engineer with Hughes Aircraft.
deFisser will be co-located in Phoenix, Arizona and at Serena`s Redwood City
world headquarters.
