Yankee Group Announces $10 Million Investment in Global Connectivity Research

Plans to Double Research Staff; Launches Search for New CEO
BOSTON--(Business Wire)--
Yankee Group today announced an investment plan of $10 million to support the
strategic expansion of its research on the impact of global connectivity, what
it terms "Anywhere." Funded by Alta Communications, a private equity firm and
the company`s majority shareholder, the investment will serve to double the
company`s research team over the next two years. It will also deepen the
company`s research and data portfolio to further address the 4G marketplace and
augment its analysis of the impact of rising user demand on telecommunications
networks.

As a part of this growth strategy, the company also announced it has opened an
executive search for a new CEO to manage day-to-day operations. Green, who

transition to chairman of the board later this year. She will continue in a
thought leadership role, including speaking on the impact of global connectivity
in support of ANYWHERE, her popular business book published earlier this year by
McGraw-Hill.
