SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)-- Citibank today announced the launch of "Our Promise to California and Nevada" to reinforce the bank's strong and ongoing commitment to the communities it serves and to putting its customers at the heart of everything it does. "Our Promise to California and Nevada" is built on the commitments that Citibank makes to its customers every day: from protecting their identity with world-class identity theft and fraud solutions; to rewarding customers for referring their friends with cash back and "ThankYou" points; to helping customers work toward their financial goals with expert guidance from Citi Personal Wealth Management advisors and business and consumer bankers. "We want all of our customers in California and Nevada to know our strong commitments to them - to be there when they need us, to listen to them and address their concerns, and to help them reach their financial goals," said Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann, President of Citibank California. "We are thrilled to show our customers that we appreciate their business, that we are committed to improving every day, and that we love California and Nevada as much as they do." Throughout the months of April, May and June, Citibank will partner with local community, environmental and business groups to engage employees and customers in a variety of activities. On Saturday, April 17, 2010, Citibank will "Go Green" with environmentally focused events, including free shred trucks at many branches. In May, Citibank will celebrate Small Businesses in California and Nevada, and in June the bank will host a Customer/Community Appreciation Day. Citibank is also offering an online discussion board, available at any time, for customers to find more information about Our Promise, post comments and ask questions. The discussion board is available at www.citibank.com/promises. In addition, Citibank has extended Saturday hours offered in many of its California and Nevada branches. "Every day we make promises to our customers, now is our time to show we're listening," added Macieira-Kaufmann.
