2010 Congressional Pig Book Rolling Out April 14, 2010

Save the date! The little pink book that makes politicians squirm is back.
Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) will release the 2010 Congressional Pig
Book at a news conference on, Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11 am. This will be
the 20th anniversary edition of the Pig Book. 

The Congressional Pig Book is an annual report on pork-barrel spending in the
federal budget. The 2010 Pig Book features a complete database of pork projects
and profiles the most egregious examples from the fiscal year 2010
appropriations bills. Confirmed speakers, including Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.),
Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), and Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), will discuss the current
state of earmark reform and what more needs to be done to stop Congress from
continuing its swinish ways. Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) is also invited to
speak.
