Kalido Appoints Derek Thompson Managing Director for EMEA Sales

solutions, today announced that Derek Thompson has joined Kalido as
managing director for sales with responsibility for customer-facing
activities in the United Kingdom and throughout the rest of the EMEA
region.
-- He reports to Charles Doucot, vice president of worldwide sales,
and is based at Kalido's offices in London.
-- He will work closely with the existing leadership team of Coman
Wakefield, group vice president of product development, and Paul
Holloway, senior director of worldwide services, to grow the
company's business and presence throughout the region.
-- Derek brings to Kalido more than 20 years of experience in positions
of increasing responsibility. He was most recently employed by KCOM
Group plc, where he held the position of sales director for the
applications integrator, consultancy and managed services business and
prior to that was director of the data management solutions business
within KCOM.
-- He joined KCOM following the acquisition of Technica, a company he
co-founded and where he held the position of Managing Director.
Technica was a specialized consultancy focused on the IT storage and
data management sector. He also held roles at HP and IBM after early
career experience as a software developer.
