This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) in respect of the
holding of ordinary shares in the Company (`Shares') of the executive directors
and other persons discharging managerial responsibility (together `PDMRs')
referred to below.

On 6 April 2010, the Company was notified of the following transaction:

On 6 April 2010, the PDMRs referred to below, exercised options over Shares
granted at 237.0 pence per share. The exercises were in respect of the SSL
Sharesave Scheme (an all employee share option scheme).
