UNITED UTILITIES GROUP PLC

DIRECTORS' AND PDMR INTERESTS IN SHARES

United Utilities Group PLC ("the Company") announces that it received
notification on 6 April 2010 that the Trustee, Equiniti Share Plan Trustees
Limited, purchased ordinary shares of 5p each on behalf of the following
directors and persons discharging managerial responsibility on 1 April 2010, to
be held in accordance with the rules of the Company's HMRC approved share
incentive plan. The shares were purchased at a price of 561.0 pence per share.
