Kuwait's NBK interested in stake in Turkish bank

KUWAIT, April 6 (Reuters) - Kuwait's largest lender, the National Bank of Kuwait (NBKK.KW) (NBK) said on Tuesday it was interested in acquiring a stake in Turkey's Garanti Bank. (GARAN.IS)

NBK's chief executive, Ibrahim Dabdoub, told Reuters in an e-mailed statement that NBK was looking to expand in Turkey and a share in Garanti Bank was "one of the options" it was looking at. He did not elaborate.
