COPENHAGEN, April 6 (Reuters) - Denmark's Vestas (VWS.CO), the world's biggest maker of wind turbines, has won an order in the fiercely competitive Chinese market for turbines with capacity of 50 megawatts, the company said on Tuesday.

"Delivery of the turbines is planned to take place during the third quarter of 2010," Vestas Wind Systems A/S said, adding that the deal includes supply and commissioning of the turbines and two-year maintenance.

The order from an undisclosed customer is for the second phase of a project in Heilongjiang province for which Vestas announced an order at the end of March, it said.

"At the customer's request, further details about the project's ownership cannot be disclosed," Vestas said.

By the end of 2009, Vestas had an accumulated installed capacity of more than 2,000 MW in China, which makes it one of the largest players in the Chinese wind energy market, the company said.
