Polish plane crashes in Russia, 87 dead - Itar-Tass

MOSCOW, April 10 (Reuters) - Eighty-seven people died when a plane flying from Warsaw crashed near its intended destination in the Russian city of Smolensk, Itar-Tass news agency reported on Saturday, citing the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

A Polish government official told Reuters the plane was carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski. (Reporting by Robin Paxton)
