WASHINGTON, April 13 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday announced that South Korea would host the next nuclear security summit in 2012, sending a clear signal to North Korea, whose development of a nuclear bomb has raised serious security concerns in the region.

Obama was speaking to leaders assembled in Washington for a nuclear security summit.
