Obama: will focus on energy bill after bank reform

WASHINGTON, April 16 | Fri Apr 16, 2010 2:40pm EDT

WASHINGTON, April 16 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Friday efforts to pass financial regulation reform would likely take several more weeks and then the administration would transition to pressing for energy and climate legislation.

Speaking at a meeting of corporate executives who make up part of his outside economic advisory board, Obama said the business community should voice its support for climate legislation to lawmakers.
