Dark Horse and Hammer Films team up for comics
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Hammer Films and Dark Horse Comics are teaming up to create a series of graphic novels and comic books based on Hammer's horror catalog.
The first comic project isn't based on one of Hammer's classic films from the '50s or '60s, but rather on "Let Me In," the company's upcoming remake of the Swedish vampire movie, "Let the Right One In."
The storyline is being kept under wraps but "will incorporate some of the film's characters and mythology with some fresh themes," according to the companies.
The new movie, to be released in October by Overture Films, centers on a bullied 12-year-old boy who strikes a bond with a new neighbor, a young girl who emerges only at night and seems immune to the winter elements.
