BRUSSELS, April 19 (Reuters) - The airline industry has not yet applied for any compensation for revenues lost because of the volcanic ash crisis, the European Commission said on Monday.

Any aid provided by European Union governments for airline companies would have to be proportionate to the damage suffered because of the crisis, a Commission spokeswoman told a news briefing.
