Riksbank Gov Ingves unable to attend cbank meeting
STOCKHOLM, April 19 |
STOCKHOLM, April 19 (Reuters) - Sweden's central bank said that governor Stefan Ingves would not be able to attend a monetary policy meeting on Monday due to flight disruptions caused by a volcanic ash cloud.
"The problems which are affecting the traffic situation in Europe after a volcano eruption in Iceland means that Riksbank governnor Stefan Ingves cannot attend the policy meeting today," the Riksbank said in a statement on its web site.
Ingves would be unable to listen to the meeting over the phone and would instead publish his view on the economic situation in a separate comment to be published together with central bank minutes on May 3, a spokesman said.
Deputy Governor Barbro Wickman-Parak will be able to attend the meeting.
