BRUSSELS, April 22 (Reuters) - Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme tendered his government's resignation to King Albert on Thursday and the monarch was considering whether to accept it, the palace said in a statement on Thursday.

Leterme's five-month-old government collapsed on Thursday after the Flemish liberal party withdrew its support for the five-party coalition. (Reporting by Philip Blenkinsop, editing by Timothy Heritage)
