Obama appeals to "titans of industry" on reform

NEW YORK, April 22 | Thu Apr 22, 2010 12:11pm EDT

NEW YORK, April 22 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama appealed specifically to America's "titans of industry" on Thursday to get behind his push for financial regulatory reform instead of trying to undercut the effort.

"I want to urge you to join us instead of fighting us," Obama told an audience that included several top U.S. executives in a speech at Cooper Union college in New York. (Writing by Matt Spetalnick)
