Japan finmin sees no yuan talks at G20

WASHINGTON, April 22 | Thu Apr 22, 2010 7:14pm EDT

WASHINGTON, April 22 (Reuters) - Japanese Finance Minister Naoto Kan did not discuss China's yuan currency with his U.S. counterpart at a meeting on Thursday and does not expect it to be an open topic of discussion at G20 meetings in Washington.

"This issue (the yuan) is a big problem for the US and China but I think at the G20, countries will remain from openly discussing this topic," Kan said. (Reporting by Leika Kihara; writing by Patrick Graham)
