EMCOR Group, Inc. Subsidiary Awarded Construction Contract for Miami-Dade South District Wastewater Treatment Plant

NORWALK, Conn.--(Business Wire)--
EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500 leader in mechanical and electrical

of businesses, announced that its Poole and Kent Company of Florida subsidiary
has been awarded a contract by Miami-Dade County for the construction work
within the South District Wastewater Treatment Plant in Miami, Florida. 

Poole and Kent will be responsible for the construction of a 60,000 square foot
Septage Receiving and Solids Handling Building with two 50,000-gallon fatty oils
and greases tanks. The building will include a multi-level structure to house
process equipment, a finished area for offices, employee facilities, and an
influent channel to receive and transfer raw sewage. Poole and Kent will also
install a Motor Control Center, electrical switchgear, HVAC units, and
ventilation fans at the facility. 

In addition, Poole and Kent will construct a chemical storage area with
secondary containment and storage tanks, as well as an odor control system, with
blowers, scrubbers, circulation pumps, duct work and associated valves and
controls. Its scope of work will also include installation of 2,000 feet of
ductile iron pipe, hot tapping of an existing pre-cast concrete pipe,
installation of over 1,000 feet of CPVC pipe, and hot taps for flushing and
potable water systems. The company will also be responsible for construction of
two independent truck scales, along with guard shacks, instrumentation, lighting
and traffic control devices, as well as installation of new control valves and
piping at seventeen existing injection wells, pumps and piping at a flushing
water pump station.
