Long Island "Main St. Expos" Celebrate Local Small Businesses

Outer Borough Seminars Provide Educational and Networking Opportunities
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
Citibank this week kicks off a series of small business seminars in the Outer
Boroughs and will host "Main St. Small Business Expos" on April 24 in Long
Island. The latest in Citibank`s "Our Promise" event series reinforces the
bank`s strong and ongoing commitment to the small business communities
throughout the Outer Boroughs and Long Island.

Tonight`s seminar will take place at the Citibank branch at 836 Manhattan Ave.
in Brooklyn and will address "Fraud Prevention for Your Business," including the
latest techniques for small businesses to guard against identity theft and
online fraud. The series will continue throughout April and early May in Queens,
Staten Island and the Bronx. Other seminars will address "Cash Management
Strategies." Seminar details, dates and locations below.

On Saturday April 24, Citibank will host "Main St. Small Business Expos" in 71
Long Island branches. The expos will engage local businesses in a variety of
activities and provide an opportunity to network with each other, as well as
with Citibank customers. Unlike the Outer Borough educational seminars, the
expos are intended to celebrate the small businesses on "Main Streets" across
Long Island. The activities will vary, from "A Taste of Hicksville," where the
branch will partner with local Hicksville restaurants to sample their Indian,
Afghani and Chinese food and raffle gift certificates; to the East Meadow
branch, where a local florist, a travel agent and a wireless phone sales
representative will exhibit their services; to "SpeedBiz Networking" events
which will bring businesses together for lightening fast 3-minute
meet-and-greets.

"We want small business owners in Long Island and the Outer Boroughs to know how
much we appreciate their business and that we are here to help in any way that
we can," said Michele Imbasciani, Long Island Division Manager, Citibank. "These
events offer a chance for us to meet with clients in a casual educational
setting, offer guidance on a number of issues, and most importantly, celebrate
their perseverance during what has been a very challenging economic
environment."

Citi announced "Our Promise" to Long Island and the Outer Boroughs in March
2009. This exciting initiative is meant to reinforce the bank's strong and
ongoing commitment its customers, and is built on the commitments that Citibank
makes every day: from protecting their identity, to rewarding them for referring
their colleagues; to helping them realize their financial goals.
