VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Apr 22 (MARKET WIRE) --
Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SRL)(FARNKFURT: SRLZF) is pleased to
announce a commission integrated by representatives which include: the
Ministry of Non-Renewable Natural Resource, the Ministry of the
Environment, National Water Secretary, and Secretary of the People, have
notified the communities surrounding the Curipamba Project, that the
company has completed all the necessary requirements and has complied
with all regulations of the new mining law in order to recommence
exploration activities. This commission held initial meetings last week
with the local community leaders to schedule information sessions on the
upcoming exploration activities of the Company. The information sessions
are scheduled to take place during the week of April 26, 2010, and do not
imply that additional approvals are necessary. The completion of these
informational forums are the final requirement needed for authorization
to restart work under the new mining law.

In anticipation of receiving final authorization to recommence
exploration activities, the company has mobilized its diamond drilling
equipment to the Curipamba project for the proposed 18,000 metre program.
The program will commence with delineation drilling at the El Domo
deposit which remains open in three directions, and contains an inferred
resource of 4.08 Mt @ 3.48 g/t Au, 76.33 g/t Ag, 2.51% Cu, 4.55% Zn and
0.47% Pb (As previously reported Feb. 25, 2009). Subsequently systematic
testing of 16 other geophysical anomalies that have similar
characteristics as El Domo, such as the Sesmo surface anomaly where
channel sample results of 15 m at 39.1 g/t Gold and 741 g/t silver were
encountered (As previously reported April 25, 2007), will be carried out
with the goal of discovering multiple new VMS deposits.

"We are very pleased that this final step is underway. Once
completed, we anticipate being the next company in Ecuador to have
complied with all the requirements under the new mining law, and we are
very excited about being able to recommence our exploration program at
Curipamba," stated Fredy Salazar, President and CEO.
