Lowe`s Names Saura Senior Vice President

MOORESVILLE, N.C.--(Business Wire)--
Lowe`s Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) announced today the promotion of Janet M.
Saura to senior vice president and deputy general counsel. She will continue to
report to Gaither M. Keener, SVP, general counsel, secretary and chief
compliance officer. 

In her new role, Saura`s responsibilities include employee relations counseling,
government transactions and compliance and certain litigation matters. 

Saura joined Lowe`s in 2006 to build a function within the legal department to
focus on daily counsel, labor relations and compliance in the employment arena.
She earned a bachelor`s degree in political science from Oakland University and
a juris doctor from the University of Detroit.
