ANGLO & OVERSEAS PLC

Based on a bid price valuation, the unaudited net asset value per Ordinary
Share of the Company as at 21 April 2010 was 119.70 pence including estimated
current period revenue and 118.87 pence excluding current period revenue.

This is based on 73,217,881 Ordinary Shares, being the issued capital of
83,275,319 Ordinary Shares less 10,057,438 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
