HealthPartners Now Posts Prices for More Than 120 Services

Several outpatient procedures prices among those recently added
MINNEAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
HealthPartners has enhanced its price comparison Web tool so members can now
check the price of 126 procedures, including several major surgeries and
outpatient procedures. The secure website, available only to HealthPartners
members, recently added prices for 32 previously-unlisted procedures, including
various lab tests, MRI/CT scans, immunizations and complex surgeries and
outpatient procedures such as gall bladder surgery, hysterectomy, colonoscopy,
hip replacement and hernia repair surgery.

Members can compare prices for these services and procedures for up to three
providers or facilities at a time. The comparison tool is accessible through the
Quality & Cost Information section of healthpartners.com. Price listings for
more than 100 services and procedures are also available within the clinic and
hospital pages in the provider directory including office visits, immunizations,
CT/MRI, lab and X-ray. The price information in the comparison tool and the
provider directory represents actual contract rates with the provider so it`s
meaningful to a consumer who is paying out of pocket, because it takes the
health plan discount into account.

Healthpartners.com had more than 83,000 unique member/patient log-ons last
month. HealthPartners launched its Web price tool in the fall of 2008, and has
since added features and procedures to help members find provider specific cost
information.
