xG Technology Advisory Board Begins Work

SARASOTA, Fla.--(Business Wire)--
xG Technology, developer of the world`s first fully mobile VoIP phone network,
announced that its newly formed Advisory Board will hold its first meeting on
May 6. The panel`s mission is to explore additional applications for the
company`s underlying technology. 

The company`s mobile VoIP system is currently up and operating as a showcase
network in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Called xMax, the network delivers high
quality VoIP calls at highway speeds over unlicensed spectrum-holding the
promise of much less expensive calling for consumers. But xMax actually utilizes
only about 20 of the more than 50 U.S. patents held by xG. The Advisory Panel,
chaired by xG`s Director of Business Development, Chris Whiteley will
investigate other vertical markets. 

Members of the panel include: 

Colonel John C. Coleman (USMC Ret.) brings 34 years combined experience in
expeditionary operations from both government service and the private sector. In
his final years as a U.S. Marine, he was posted as the Chief of Staff, 1st
Marines Expeditionary Force for the first two years of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM
supervising the largest field headquarters ever assembled in wartime by the
Marines. He was known and remains widely recognized throughout the Corps today
as a visionary and leading innovator in the exploitation of digital technology
to enhance command, control, and communication within military forces. 

Benjamin Dickens, Jr., is a named partner in the Washington law firm Blooston,
Mordkofsky, Dickens, Duffy & Prendergast, LLP. His background includes six years
of experience before the Florida Public Service Commission, between 1978 and
1984, where he litigated state regulatory proceedings on telecommunications. He
also represented a national association of state regulatory officials, at the
federal level, in the proceeding involving the break-up of the Bell system. He
has been with the Blooston law firm since 1984 and focuses his practice on
matters concerning the regulation of common carriers. Ben is also general
counsel to the leading national trade association of burglar and fire alarm
companies. Ben speaks Spanish and also is active in Latin American
telecommunications matters. 

Louis T. Fiore is a Past President of the Central Station Alarm Association
(CSAA) and President of L.T. Fiore, Inc. In 1999, he was appointed by President
Clinton to serve in the "America Burning" panel. Fiore's career also includes
posts at CBS Laboratories, Inc., Manager of Product Development at ADT Security
Systems, President and Co-founder of Cardinal Technologies, Inc., Vice President
and General Manager of the Security Products Division of Repco, Inc., and Vice
President of Engineering and Purchasing for National Guardian Corporation. 

Robert Keefe is Chairman of TKCI. Over the last thirty years, Keefe brought
together unique teams of professionals offering expertise in representation,
lobbying, public affairs, and strategic communications. Keefe has served as an
advisor to presidential candidates, senators and congressmen, governors and
mayors. Keefe specializes in representing international clients in Washington
and American firms abroad. Included among his clients have been the national
governments of Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Canada, Aruba, Albania, Azerbaijan,
Japan, Philippines, and Angola. 

George Schmitt has more than 40 years of broad telecom experience in wireless
and wireline companies. He currently serves on the boards of Calient, Ready Jet
Go Airlines, and Teleworx. George is a Managing Director & SBIC Director at
TeleSoft Partners, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm specializing in
early stage, mid stage, late stage, and growth capital. George was President and
a Director at Omnipoint Communication Services until VoiceStream's acquisition
of Omnipoint Corporation in 2000. Subsequently, Deutsche Telekom acquired
Voicestream to form T-Mobile U.S.
