NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
Ronald Steiger, a registered representative and Investment Advisor
Representative for Woodbury Financial Services, has launched the innovative
National Financial Fitness program to help promote financial education and
awareness during Financial Literacy Month, celebrated every April.

"Too many people keep their important paperwork stuffed in a junk drawer, or
strewn about their house in various locations," says Steiger. "It is important
to be prepared and organized when it comes to our financial well-being. This
project encourages people to keep track of their finances by maintaining a
master list in case of an emergency."

The National Financial Fitness form, which takes about an hour to complete, is
free and can be downloaded at www.nationalfinancialfitness.com. It contains an
outline of important information, including:

* Contact details for lawyers, doctors and insurance agents
* Estate planning information about wills, living wills and power of attorney
* Insurance policies, bank accounts and credit cards
* Outstanding loans and debts
* Investment accounts and retirement plans
* Property titles and deeds
* Social security and military service information

The form also includes a checklist for clients to evaluate their own financial
fitness and identify problem areas that may need improvement.

"We want people to take a proactive approach to their finances and gain a better
understanding of the financial concepts behind insurance, investing and
retirement and estate planning," says Steiger.

National Financial Fitness has received attention and recognition from the state
of New York. "New Yorkers need tools to help them manage and protect their money
and hard-earned savings," New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli said.
"The National Financial Fitness Program mirrors my call for more consumer
awareness of financial information and reliable financial education resources.
This program is in line with my Your Money New York initiative to provide
programs and resources that help citizens meet their financial challenges."
