NEW YORK, NY, Apr 22 (MARKET WIRE) --
OneMedPlace announced today that its "2010 New York OneMedForum" finance
conference will be held June 29-30, 2010, at New York's historic
Roosevelt Hotel. The goal of "2010 New York OneMedForum" is to connect
private and public (microcap) medtech, biotech and health information
companies with a global group of active healthcare investors. Companies
that are invited to present at the conference will be those with
accomplished management teams, strong investor support, breakthrough
technologies built on strong science, strong IP portfolios and
partnerships with leading academic institutions.
The event will kick-off with a welcoming reception on Tuesday evening,
June 29th, as well as a closing reception on Wednesday evening, June
30th. More than 100 companies are expected to present. There will be
separate tracks for public and private companies in each of the following
areas: "Medical Devices and Diagnostics," "Biotech and Therapeutics" and
"Health Information."
"We are excited to take the concept that has been very successful in San
Francisco and bring it to our home market of New York," said OneMedPlace
Founder and CEO Brett Johnson. "New York is the global capital of finance
and media, and it has an increasing focus on the life sciences. Inviting
the most promising emerging companies to connect with New York's
financial and media communities can help these emerging companies access
the capital and visibility they need to be successful. A key focus is to
attract investors from European financial centers, and we have formed a
partnership with Gershon Capital, an investment firm based in Geneva, to
help anchor this effort."
"We are pleased to be a major sponsor of this very special event because
it will serve the urgent need of introducing promising emerging companies
to active healthcare investors both in the U.S. and Europe," said Justin
Schreiber, Partner, Gershon Capital, an investment firm that provides
advisory services and capital raising solutions for emerging healthcare
and life science companies.
