Dime Community Bancshares Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend

  BROOKLYN, NY, Apr 22 (MARKET WIRE) -- 
Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: DCOM) (the "Company"), the
parent company of The Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh ("Dime"),
announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash
dividend of $0.14 per share, payable on May 10, 2010, to all stockholders
of record as of May 3, 2010. This dividend is the 52nd consecutive
quarterly cash dividend paid by the Company.
