RLPC-Bids due on Mid Europa's Invitel sale -sources

LONDON, April 22 (Reuters) - Second round bids are due soon on private equity firm Mid Europa Partners' sale of the central European backbone network of Hungarian telecoms group Invitel, banking sources said on Thursday.

The sale could raise up to 250 million euros ($336 million), the sources said.

The process is being led by BNP Paribas Fortis and Credit Agricole CIB, the sources added.

First round bids went in about a month ago, with both private equity sponsors and trade buyers looking at the asset, the sources said.

The touted 250 million euro enterprise value would represent 6 to 7 times 2009 forecast earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), one of the sources said.

Mid Europa declined to comment.

In January 2010, Mid Europa said it had completed a tender offer to purchase outstanding shares of Invitel, bringing its stake in the company up to 91.8 percent.

Invitel refinanced its senior loan facilities and second lien debt in December 2009 through a seven-year, 340 million euro senior secured bond. (Reporting by Alasdair Reilly, editing by Will Waterman) ($1=.7439 Euro)
