Moody's Investors Service downgraded the long-term ratings of Synovus Financial Corporation (subordinate debt to B3 from B2) and its subsidiary banks, Columbus Bank & Trust and First Commercial Bank (bank financial strength rating to D- from D; deposits to Ba3 from Ba2).
