Czech Orco shareholder says lost case vs company

PRAGUE, April 22 | Thu Apr 22, 2010 12:02pm EDT

PRAGUE, April 22 (Reuters) - A minority shareholder of Czech real estate developer Orco Property Group (ORCOsp.PR) (ORCO.PA) said on Thursday a court denied its request to block newly issued shares from voting at an upcoming general meeting.

The shareholder Millenius Investments has been protesting capital hikes in which selected investors were offered shares at double-digit discounts to market price ahead of the April 26 meeting.

Millenius has said it saw the hikes as an attempt to boost the power base of the firm's management. Millenius had called for the general meeting to vote on replacing management.

Orco has rejected the Millenius comments as unfounded.

Millenius said on Thursday it had filed another complaint against the capital hikes. (Reporting by Jan Korselt, writing by Jan Lopatka)
