COPENHAGEN, April 22 (Reuters) - Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas (VWS.CO) has won an order from China for turbines with capacity of at least 49 megawatts, the company said on Thursday.

The order from from Ningxia Hanas New Energy Company for a project in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR) is the Vestas' third annoucement this month of an order from the fierecely competitive Chinese market.

The order followed a similar-sized one announced on Tuesday from Master Investment Company Ltd, which Vestas said is one of the owners of Hanas New Energy.

"With Hanas New Energy Company and Master Investment Company as two new important partners in the Ningxia province, we are very confident that we now have a strong foothold in this wind-swept part of China," Jens Tommerup, President of Vestas China, said in the statement.

Vestas did not disclose financial details.
