U.S. Coast Guard weighs burning leaking crude oil
HOUSTON |
HOUSTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Coast Guard said on Tuesday it could set ablaze the crude oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico after a deadly offshore drilling rig explosion to keep a giant oil spill from growing even bigger.
Swiss-based Transocean Ltd's Deepwater Horizon sank on April 22, two days after it exploded and caught fire while finishing a well for BP Plc in what is the worst oil rig disaster in almost a decade.
