BERLIN (Reuters) - Exit strategies from fiscal support measures must be coordinated internationally as much as possible, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday.

Merkel was speaking after meeting the chiefs of the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the International Labour Organization.

"We agreed today that the exit from state support measures -- so-called exit strategies -- must be coordinated as much as possible," Merkel told a news conference.
