(Adds source on JP Morgan)
LONDON, April 30 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX) has named Carl-Georg Bauer-Schlichtegroll to a senior role in its Financial Institutions Group (FIG), an internal memo showed, where he will be working alongside Eric Richard.
Known as Carl Bauer, the former JP Morgan (JPM.N) banker will be a managing director and co-head of FIG in the European, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) region, said the memo. Richard is the other co-head for the region.
Bauer was previously co-head of EMEA FIG at JP Morgan (JPM.N), the memo said. Kyril Courboin, the other co-head at JP Morgan, will now become the sole head of EMEA FIG, a person familiar with the matter said.
JP Morgan and Credit Suisse both declined to comment.
Ewen Stevenson has been appointed co-head of global FIG at Credit Suisse alongside Vikram Gandhi, the bank said in a separate memo. Gandhi will also take on an additional role as vice-chairman of the Investment Banking Department. (Reporting by Douwe Miedema; Editing by Hans Peters)
