Couture House, an affordable and personal approach to planning elegant
weddings and special occasions.

The Couture House, a wedding salon and resource center located in Santa
Cruz, CA, helps engaged couples, brides and their families evaluate and
select the area's best-qualified services, products and event
professionals based on their specific style and budget. The Couture House
offers affordable two-hour planning consultations led by Coastside
Couture, an event management service with decades of experience. Clients
who visit The Couture House come away with realistic expectations
identified, key appointments set and a step-by-step roadmap in place to
plan their event.

The grand opening of The Couture House will be held on May 27th, 2010
from 3:00pm-7:00pm, with the ribbon cutting at 3:30pm. Feast for a King
Catering will provide appetizers; enjoy delectable treats from Edith
Meyers Cakes and featured wines from central coast vintners will be
poured.

"We were looking for a way that we could help our budget-minded couples
get the initial guidance they need with wedding planning but to minimize
the costs of the actual wedding planning," said Karissa Paxton, co-owner

specific: 'Can you help me find a venue in the redwoods for this amount
of money?' or 'We need some guidance on finding the right DJ,' so it
became clear that many people are trying to plan their own special
