Sberbank's Kazakh unit sees profit falling in 2010

ALMATY, May 5 (Reuters) - The Kazakh subsidiary of Russia's Sberbank (SBER03.MM) said on Wednesday expansion costs would push its 2010 profit below last year's $15.7 million.
"We expect a lower profit than the one we made in 2009," the chief executive of the Kazakh unit Oleg Smirnov told reporters.
Smirnov said Sberbank would increase expenditures on developing its branch network and IT infrastructure.
The bank would borrow at least 10 billion tenge ($68 million) on the domestic market this year and boost its loan book by 25-30 percent. (Reporting by Olga Orininskaya; Writing by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Dmitry Sergeyev and Andrew Callus)
