WASHINGTON | Wed May 5, 2010 11:18am EDT

WASHINGTON May 5 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved a bill to help Haiti rebuild its economy by opening the U.S. market to more Haitian-made clothing and textiles.

The bill, the result of a deal struck last week by top lawmakers, now goes to a Senate for a vote. President Barack Obama is expected to sign it when it reaches his desk.
