White House: U.S. investigating if airline made mistake
WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are investigating whether Emirates airline made a mistake in letting Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bomb suspect, on one of its aircraft, the White House said on Tuesday.
"That's part of the investigation that we're looking at," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told a news briefing.
Shahzad, 30, was arrested on Monday night after he was taken off an Emirates plane that was about to take off for Dubai.
