Colombia presidential candidates tied - poll

BOGOTA May 9 (Reuters) - Colombian presidential candidates Antanas Mockus and Juan Manuel Santos are technically tied with less than a month to go before the May 30 election, according to a poll published on Sunday.

Santos, President Alvaro Uribe's former defense minister, would win 35 percent of intended votes while Mockus, a two-time mayor of Bogota known for his anti-corruption stance, won 34 percent, said the poll by Ipsos-Napoleon Franco.

It was the first poll in several weeks to show Santos had climbed back to tie with Mockus, an independent who had surged in support since April. But neither candidate had enough support to avoid a second round in June.

In a run-off, the poll showed Mockus would win 48 percent of intended votes and Santos 41 percent, a tighter margin than the last survey by Ipsos-Napoleon Franco.
