Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on May 14
ZURICH, May 14 - Swiss stocks are set to open little changed on Friday though the euro zone debt crisis continued to weigh on bourses globally.
The Swiss blue-chip index SMI.SSMI was indicated to tick up 2 points at the open to 6,575 points, premarket data provided by bank Clariden Leu showed.CLPRE
The following are some of the main factors expected to affect Swiss stocks on Friday:
BANKS
U.S. prosecutors are conducting a broad criminal investigation of six major Wall Street banks, including UBS, to determine if they misled investors, a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday.
A separate investigation into misleading of rating agencies also includes Credit Suisse.

ECONOMY [M-CH]
* The Swiss National Bank reports a consolidated profit of 1.5 billion Swiss francs for the first quarter of 2010.
The result was mainly influenced by the further increase in the price of gold, the loss on foreign currency positions and the profit achieved by the stabilisation fund.
In the first quarter of 2010, the stabilisation fund benefited from an improved market environment. It ended the quarter with a profit of $1.326 billion.
