Transocean rises after BP says making progress

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of Transocean Ltd (RIG.N) rose 2.3 percent to $67.87 in premarket trading on Monday after BP Plc (BP.N) (BP.L) said it was making some progress in its efforts to contain the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Transocean owns the rig that sank and resulted in the spill.
