BOGOTA May 20 (Reuters) - Colombia's tax receipts for January to April were 22.3 trillion pesos or $11.1 billion, slightly above the government's target of 22.2 trillion pesos for the period, the DIAN tax agency said on Thursday.

But the revenues were just below the 22.4 trillion pesos collected in the same period a year earlier.

Colombia's government had expected a lower tax income because of the global financial crisis. The economy grew 0.4 percent in 2009 and the government expects growth of around 3 percent this year.
