EV3 INC EVVV.O, $22.25, up 18 pct
Medical products maker Covidien Plc (COV.N) plans to acquire the maker of stents and other vascular devices for $2.6 billion, the companies said. [ID:nN0193836]
MEDIACOM COMMUNICATIONS CORP MCCC.O, $6.18, up 16 pct
The company said Chief Executive Rocco Commisso has offered to take the cable television system operator private at $6 a share, a premium of 13 percent to the stock's Friday closing price. [ID:nSGE6500FE]
COMBIMATRIX CORP (CBMX.O), $2.42, down 12 pct

RADIOSHACK CORP (RSH.N), $21.75, up 6 pct
U.S. private-equity firm Blackstone Group LP (BX.N) has emerged as a leading participant to buy electronics retailer RadioShack after an initial round of bids were completed last week, the New York Post said, citing sources familiar with the matter. [ID:nSGE6500CF]
GLOBAL GEOPHYSICAL SERVICES INC (GGS.N), $9.80, up 5 pct
Credit Suisse started the company with an "outperform" rating and a target price of $13.
SHANDA INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT SNDA.O, $42.71, up 4 pct
The Chinese Internet firm and ringtone provider Hurray Holding Co HRAY.O have signed a deal under which Hurray will acquire an online audio business of Shanda for 415 million newly issued shares of Hurray.
CDC SOFTWARE CDCS.O, $8.38, down 2 pct
