EV3 INC EVVV.O, $22.25, up 18 pct

Medical products maker Covidien Plc COV.N plans to acquire the maker of stents and other vascular devices for $2.6 billion, the companies said. [ID:nN0193836]

MEDIACOM COMMUNICATIONS CORP MCCC.O, $6.18, up 16 pct

The company said Chief Executive Rocco Commisso has offered to take the cable television system operator private at $6 a share, a premium of 13 percent to the stock's Friday closing price. [ID:nSGE6500FE]

COMBIMATRIX CORP (CBMX.O), $2.46, down 11 pct

The biotechnology firm said it has ceased its efforts to find a potential buyer for the company or its assets and it would now focus exclusively on building and growing the diagnostics services business. [ID:nSGE6500E5]

GLOBAL GEOPHYSICAL SERVICES INC GGS.N, $9.87, up 6 pct

Credit Suisse started the company with an "outperform" rating and a target price of $13.

ROGERS CORP (ROG.N), $29.64, up 4 pct

RADIOSHACK CORP RSH.N, $21.23, up 4 pct

SHANDA INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT SNDA.O, $42.71, up 4 pct
