(Corrects story from June 8 to say that Baidu aims to have the same level of market share in mobile devices as in PCs, not a 79 percent share)

BEIJING, June 8 (Reuters) - China's top Internet search company Baidu (BIDU.O) wants to see the same level of market share in its mobile search as with PCs, a senior executive said on Tuesday.

Baidu General Manager for Corporate Development Tang Hesong quoted from research that showed that the company had a 76 percent share of China's PC search market.

The Chinese search engine captured more than 64 percent of China's search market in the first quarter, up from 58.4 percent in the fourth quarter, according to research firm Analysys International. (Reporting by Huang Yuntao and Ken Wills; Editing by Chris Lewis)
